TetZooConners: Welcome!

A totally serious herpetological podcast

Hello and welcome to the OozTet Stacdop!

We’re the hosts of the SquaMates podcast, Mark D. Scherz, Gabriel Ugueto, and Ethan Kocak, and we’re glad you’ve found your way to our podcast!

What is the SquaMates Podcast?

We’re three guys who happened to decide to make a podcast together on twitter one day. We all are big fans of the TetZooPodcats, and wanted to try our hand at our own, more herp-focussed podcast. The show is fairly new, but it has been well received so far!

We release episodes once a month, currently on the 22nd of every month. Every episode is divided into a series of sections, but the main focus of the show is the latest, hottest new research in herpetology. We also talk a lot about women in herpetology and the ugly history of the field as goes involvement of non-male researchers.

Why should I listen to you?

Well, frankly, you clearly have an interest in herpetology and light-humoured, hyper-technical podcasts if you like TetZoo. And that’s us through-and-through. Plus, if you work in herpetology, it’s hard to keep abreast of the latest news. If you tune into our show, you’ll hear us talk about most of the big movements of the last month, saving you a lot of time spent reading the technical literature. So if you think about it, listening to our show is actually time better spent than reading, and you can join our other listeners who multitask doing all kinds of things whilst listening!

Alright, alright, you’ve convinced me, where are these episodes of yours?

Look no further! You can get the latest episode here!

And where do I go to subscribe?

We got you, fam’!
